When I was a teen ager I thought I wanted to buy a store when I grew up. A dusty store filled with shadowy corners filled with neat, weird stuff. I would use a ‘beholder’ (an old D&D monster) as a logo, and I’d call it “The Eye of the Beholder”.
I’m not a kid any more. I have no interest in working retail if I can help it. I don’t play D&D any more (well, not unless it’s the only gaming ‘fix’ I can find…), but I still love the beholder as a creature concept (it’s a giant floating eyeball, for crying out loud, with tentacles which end in tiny little eyeballs… how cute is that?!), and I still love strange, weird stuff, finding it and making it.
I have several other blogs and a podcast, but this is my ‘craft talk’ place. True, there will be all sorts of other geekery here, but expect discussion of form, color, texture and techniques as well.
